uninspired Wednesday
Where do I even begin. It's been about a week and a half since my last post and frankly it's because of the housing situation going on around here. We decided to undertake some home renovations (okay so it was more me continually saying "lets get new flooring! lets get new flooring!) and living in your house WHILE you are doing large amounts of renos blows, especially with a curious little baby who insists on crawling around in the construction zone. I literally have been waking up every morning the past week and fleeing the house after feeding Talis his breakfast. It's like everywhere I turn in our house is a mess. So I'm left feeling uninspired, stressed, and ready for the floors to be done. This is what our downstairs looks like right now. Appliances askew, piles of mess everywhere, and lots and lots to be done.
Does a messy house stress you out and put you in a bad mood as much as it does me?

All things yard
My morning has consisted of soothing Talis multiple times (he keeps getting into things and getting hurt that little rascal), picking up clutter, and listening to Temper Trap while I simultaneously research landscapers to do our backyard. I just set up an appointment on Friday to get an estimate and I am so excited! Even though our backyard is the size of most closets (and not the spacious walk in ones) I am a true believer that no matter what you have, whether it be a lot or a little, expensive or not, big or small, you need to take pride in it and take care of it. Unfortunately I have fallen really short of that with our backyard. Two dogs, a baby, and a two story household (note to reader: two stories are hard to clean! one stories are where it's at) leaves me beaten and tired which has resulted in our yard to look like Iraq but with more doggie messes. I'm dreaming big for our backyard guys and Pinterest is not helping. I wonder if it would be logical to incorporate some of these ideas in a 10x10 backyard......
This window is begging for me and Dj to do a reenactment of Romeo and Juliet's balcony scene
I'm day dreaming of sunny spring naps on this already
Is this porch not the prettiest? (I never thought I'd describe a porch as pretty...)
The perfect little backyard hideout
Okay so these backyard ideas will most likely have to be filed away for when one day Dj and I build our dream house but it sure does get my creative side thinking of the possibilities for our humble little backyard. What would you put in your dream backyard?

Saturdays= Home Improvement Days
So every Saturday DJ and I devote our mornings to cleaning the house and making home improvements, or at least attempt to. I always try to wake up early to get things done but it usually ends up with us sleeping in late, waking up slowly, and getting distracted easily. This Saturday we woke up around 9, made pancakes, and watched the movie Bolt. :) (you know the cute little kids video about a dog, I strongly recommend it) We were however able to accomplish the following: selling a washer and dryer, mowing the lawn, doing the laundry, doing the dishes, cleaning and vacuuming the living room, donating stuff to Goodwill, and building a flower box. All of these things took the whole day however because we squeezed in lunch, The Bourne Ultimatum, a followed it up with a long nap :) In whole, today was a very good and productive day.
